On September 25, 2026, Marvel Studios brought Avengers: Endgame back to theaters across the globe with a re-release titled Avengers: Endgame Encore. The re-release featured up to 4 credits sequences (depending on where fans selected to view the film) and was described by Marvel Studios as “must see” footage before seeing Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026, as the additional scenes in Endgame: Encore were to serve as bridge from Endgame to Doomsday.
The 2nd additional scene catches viewers up to date on the status of Bruce Banner. After his unintentional Hulk-Out in this Summer’s Spider-Man: Brave New World, Bruce is in what looks to be a high-security underground containment facility where he is taken off the proverbial board as a threat to the surface world. Bruce is actively recording a video during the scene, explaining that he is two miles underground. He says that even The Hulk wouldn’t be able to escape this self-imposed imprisonment, insisting that he can’t escape and that no one can break him out either.
This proves to be inaccurate however, as Banner’s screen begins to glitch and his lights begin to flicker. Suddenly, Doctor Doom’s voice can be heard telling Bruce that Doom has “come to collect him.” An off-screen struggle ensues and Banner can be heard transforming into The Hulk. Doom furthermore leaves a collection of glowing magical symbols on the floor of the facility. I assume that this magic is how Doom breached the facility.
It appears that Doctor Doom has some very big plans that involve The Hulk and why wouldn’t he? The Hulk would be quite the ally for anyone to have on their side.
Also, this sequence this sequence seems to shine a light on the credit’s scene in Spider-Man: Brand New Day which saw Ned access the spider tracker and is shown that Spider-Man is off-world. Perhaps Doom “collected” Peter Parker as well?
Time will tell.
