About This Site

Welcome to MCUreviews.com!

I am a longtime fan of Marvel and its comic books and characters and an impassioned fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I launched this site in 2021 in an effort to share my MCU fandom with the world from my own small corner of the internet.

As the name of this site suggests, it is dedicated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You can find reviews of every live-action MCU project produced by Marvel Studios, as well as other Marvel franchises that have been tied-in to the MCU via the Multiverse during The Multiverse Saga. This includes Sony’s Spider-Man films, the Fox X-Men movies, and a couple of Fox Fantastic Four films, in addition to select Marvel movie offerings from the original version of Marvel Studios that was led by Avi Arad prior to the launch of the MCU in 2008. You can also find reviews of the original version of Marvel Television’s now former Netflix shows that comprised The Defenders Saga. These shows were confirmed to be MCU canon in early-2024.

My reviews include my honest thoughts on each project that I cover in addition to a Fun Facts section where I breakdown behind-the-scenes information pertaining to the creation and execution of each project and how they tie-in to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. Please note that every review that I post is a SPOILER review with SPOILERS throughout each post. Each review should therefore be read AFTER you have watched the film or television show that you’re going to read about.

Reviews can be found on the Drop-Down Main Menu, which is divided into the various MCU Phases. This Menu has direct links that will take you to the specific post that you are looking for. Additional links can be found under the “Other Marvel Studios Reviews” tab that can be found to your right if you’re reading on a desktop or laptop, or at the bottom of the site if you’re reading on a mobile device.

In all, I have posted nearly 100 reviews as of 2025, and I recently took the time to go back and update all the MCU films and television shows produced by Marvel Studios so that all facts, figures, and general information are up-to-date as of 2025.

Also on this site, I regularly review Marvel Studios’ activities at the annual San Diego Comic Con and D23 conventions. SDCC in particular has been a big part of Marvel Studios’ history since they started making movies independently. I have a History of Marvel Studios at SDCC post that covers 2006-2019 and then individual coverage of the 2022 and 2024 festivities. All of these posts can be found on the Drop-Down Main Menu under SDCC / D-23. 2025 posts will be forthcoming this Summer.

All pictures that I use in my reviews are credited to the proper owners during the review. These include Marvel Studios, Marvel Entertainment, The Walt Disney Company, Sony Pictures, 20th Century Studios, Universal Pictures, Lionsgate, and New Line Cinema.

The information on this site has been retrieved from various places on the internet of course, as well as from my own personal experiences. Other sources include the books The Movie Making Magic of Marvel Studios – Heroes and Villains, The Marvel Studios Visual Dictionary, The Marvel Cinematic Universe Guidebook: The Avengers Initiative, The Marvel Cinematic Universe Guidebook: The Good, The Bad, The Guardians, Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years – The Official Movie Special, The Marvel Studios Character Encyclopedia, The Story of Marvel Studios: The Making of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (all Infinity Saga quotes were retrieved from this beautiful double hardcover set), The Wakanda Files: A Technological Exploration of The Avengers and Beyond,  Marvel Studios: The Marvel Cinematic Universe – An Official Timeline, and Scott Lang: Look Out for the Little Guy. I own each of these books and they are a treasured part of my personal MCU collection for their art and thorough information, both historically as it applies to Marvel Studios and in-Universe as it applies to the MCU.

What you won’t find on this site are reviews of animated projects. Yes, some of these projects are canon to the MCU and even to the MCU 616-Universe specifically (such as the upcoming Eyes of Wakanda project), but I just find it difficult to write a post that I feel is interesting enough to be worth the time when it comes to animated productions. You don’t really have acting performances or stunt choreography or general direction in terms of camera shots and filming locations and whatnot to dissect … instead, it’s generally just cartoons and voice work, so while I will reference these projects in other reviews when I feel it’s important in terms of how they influence that project of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole, you won’t find any formal reviews of them.

I want to take the time to thank you for reading this, and I want to thank each and every person that has ever read anything that I have written. In fact, thank you for simply visiting this site, whether you followed a link from social media or happened upon it by accident. It is much appreciated beyond words!
