After years of being a general fan of the God of Mischief, Loki Variant L1130, who was created through the Time Heist of Avengers: Endgame and whom both Seasons of Loki on Disney+ primarily revolve around, may well be my favorite version of Loki in comics or movies, and that’s saying a lot! I loved the Loki story that was told over the course of 8-years from Thor in 2011 through Endgame in 2019, but the arc of Loki Variant L1130 from his escaping Avengers custody during the Battle of New York to his emergence as a God of Stories that personally restored free will to the Multiverse that he selflessly saved is truly special!
I am therefore thrilled to add Loki Variant L1130 to my collection in all his TVA glory! With his brown coat, pants, and tie and tan undershirt, this Loki Variant doesn’t exactly pop on the shelf, but the orange TVA logo, the large orange “Variant” printing across his back, and his colorful accessories (glowing sword and green effects pieces) do help, but regardless, this is the quintessential look if this Loki Variant, as this was where it really all started for him, his shaky alliance with the Time Variance Authority while they hunt down the Variant of himself that turned out to be Sylvie!
This Loki has a kind, far less mischievous expression than the other Loki figures that I own, and he can be posed with or without his jacket, complete with a back piece in which his sword can be stored. Loki furthermore comes with several awesome TVA accessories, including a Tempad, a computer, a reset charge, complete with a special effect piece, and two versions of the marvelous Miss Minutes with varying expressions!
Getting this many add-on’s with a figure always feels special, and I really love how bulky Loki is; he looks like his Avengers / Avengers: Endgame counterpart in all the right ways, and while I definitley wanted this figure for sure, I really am surprised by how well he’s made and how much he stands out in my collection.
This was a must-own, and I’m excited to add Sylvie to my collection in the future and pose them side-by-side on my shelf.
