Captain Marvel was my 15th Hot Toys figure and what a remarkable figure this is! I really enjoyed Captain Marvel as a film, and I think Brie Larsen is a wonderful Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel. She was so enthusiastic about getting cast in the role in the MCU, and she has brought that passion and enthusiasm for the character with her in each of the films that she has appeared in, emerging as one of the strongest female characters within the MCU this side of The Scarlet Witch!
With this Hot Toys figure, two looks for Captain Marvel can be achieved. I have her posed with the Brie Larsen head sculpt, which is certainly one of the better sculpts Hot Toys has done, especially on a female figure. Her long hair is sculpted, and she has a ready-to-fight expression on her face, which I really like.
The other way that you can pose her is with her Starforce-inspired helmet with light-up eyes and a light-up mohawk-like hair piece atop her head.
Carol’s outfit is a rubbery material that does not hinder its articulation. The red, blue, and gold color scheme of her costume makes her one of the brightest figures in my collection and her hands light-up as well! She also comes with her leather jacket, which I have her displayed in, and several effects pieces.
On top of all of the great accessories that this figure come with, Captain Marvel also comes with Goose the Cat!
I received this figure from my awesome family for Father’s Day in 2020 and it is one of my favorite collection pieces.
